Mason Jar Salad

Good Morning All!

Mason Jar Salad is my go to for lunch or dinner!  I love looking in the fridge and being able to grab a snack that is already prepared, being a stay at home momma, that really helps me save time! I grew up eating lots of veggies, My mom always grew lots in her garden, I would eat a fresh salad from the garden about three times a day! These easy to prepare salads are the perfect snack, and they last a good week in the fridge.

Mason Jar Salad
  • ¾ Cup Olive Oil
  • ¼ Cup "From the Mother" Apple Cider Vinegar (Just use vinegar)
  • Cabbage
  • Green Onion
  • Red and Green Pepper
  • Garbanzo Beans
  • Cucumber
  • Raisins
  • Almonds
  • ½ Can Chicken Breast
  2. Start by adding your dressing to the bottom of the jar.
  3. Layer your ingredients with the softer vegetables at the top.
  4. Top the jar off with the cabbage and kale.
  5. Store in refrigerator.
  6. Shake before serving.

Brussel Sprouts on the grill


I cannot believe all these years I have missed out on eating Brussel sprouts on the grill. Brussel sprouts on the grill is officially my favorite side dish. I guess when I think about it, I did not grow up on them. Mom never grew them in the garden, well not that I recall.
